St. Mary Nativity School
opened its doors in 1907. The students came from families deeply
committed to giving their children the gift of a Catholic education.
Today that tradition continues. More than ever, St. Mary Nativity
School believes in the importance of teaching children the Gospel
message of Christ. We help instill strong religious values in
our students that will have a positive impact on their morals
and values and guide them for the rest of their lives.
WHAT

Like all schools, St.
Mary Nativity focuses on providing a sound educational programthat
offers children the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills
they need to pursue future educational and career goals.
But a a Catholic elementary
school, we offer something more: a christ centered environment
where every aspect of school life -- from the classroom to the
playground to extracurricular activities -- is conducted in the
context of a Christian point of view. Christ is at the heart of
everything we do.
We believe this religious
dimension of education, coupled with a strong academic program,
prepares children to meet all of life's challenges.

WORSHIP TOGETHER
To reinforce the religious
foundation we are helping our children to build, St. Mary Nativity
School provides many opportunities for prayer and worship. Our
students pray together in the classroom, attend Liturgy on a weekly
basis and on other special occasions, and participate in a variety
of religious activities throughout the year.
We believe worshiping
together instills a sense of reverence and thankfulness in our
students and createsa Christian spirit of community.

SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY
Being part of a Christ-
centered community also means our students have the support of
teachers, fellow students and others who share Christian beliefs
and values and who encourage one another to think about, discuss
and put those ideals into practice in their daily lives.
Parents are also essential
members of our community. We encourage them to share our commitment
to Catholic education by stressing Christian values at home and
by being actively involved in a variety of programs, events and
activities vital to St. Mary Nativity School and its students.
